who invented fireworks ?

Fireworks are used in celebrations but they are mainly used in new years celebrations and they are used for cultural and religious purposes it is a display of effects from firework devices.
Fireworks originated in China during the Song dynasty {960-1279} a Chinese monk called Li Tian

Li Tian

 invented the fireworks the invention of fireworks came after invention of gunpowder both of them are originated in China. 
Fireworks was made of hollow bamboo sticks and Gunpowder poured in it.

then these old fireworks were shot into sky to scare away evil spirits they were originally used for religious purposes 
But fireworks are not only used for celebrations and religious purposes but they were often used for weddings of military victories.

In China they celebrate each year in 18th of April the invention of fireworks by celebrating it's inventor
