if we have an audio file with lenth 4 minutes if we storaged it with wav formula it will take about 40 megabytes so huge but if we use the mp3 formula it will nearly take about 3.8 megabytes so mp3 is a very helpful technology now

who invented the mp3 ?                 

Frauhofer-Gesellshaft  the German company developed the MP3 technology. The MP3 patent attributes the invention of MP3 to Bernhard Grill, Karl-Heinz Brandenburg, Thomas Sporer, Bernd Kurten, and Ernst Eberlein. Dieter Seitzer and Karlheinz Brandenburg are closely linked to the development of MP3.

Briton Kane Kramer was one of the earliest creators of a digital audio player. It was mass-produced for the first time in 1997 when it was designated as the MPMan player. Some months after the release of the MPMan players, Diamond Multimedia came up with Rio PMP300. These players achieved a phenomenal sale. Compaq introduced the first hard drive-based digital audio players in 1998. In 2001, Apple Computer came up with iPods, thus giving a new dimension to the audio media industry.
